Using Blogs For Promotion

hello everyone.

my name is natasha and i am new to this board, i have never posted here , so this is my 1st post. i hope evryone is having a good day.

i am not new to the internet but new to the subject area i am writing about and i would like some advice if anyone would be so kind to help.

i am starting to use blogs for promotion as they are rich in keyword specific areas however i am worried about spamming the search engines. are there any do's and donts about writing successful blogs that the search engines pick up on and can maximise hits to both my sites and also referrals to other sites?

Hi Natasha, and welcome to this great board. As long as you don't try the sneaky spamming tricks, the search engines won't think you're spamming.

Just concentrate on writing good content for your blog and you'll do fine.

In addition to the content - try to get as many links from other on-topic blogs as you can - the more the merrier the SEs will list you

i think i have 7 at the last count and each one is at least a PR4 or 5. as long as you update with good texty content and have links as Linkster said..you should shoot right up the google/yahoo etc list.

As people have said, blogs work well for promotion IF you have text entries. I've seen a lot of adult blogs that are nothing but pics and links to sponsors. Why even bother, if there's nothing there for the search engine spiders to index?

The other important thing is to make good link trades and get listed in some blog-related lists. One easy way to get recips is to sign your blog up at Bloglinker and put their script in your side bar. Once that's up, you can visit other blogs with that script and do automatic link trades.

We have a blog category at Blue Wave (see sig).

And Top Blogs has an adults only category that sends good traffic. They usually don't list blogs unless they have text entries.
