I don't by any means believe that someone should have to be an extraverted post whore to win. But I do believe that being part of a community requires involvement. One should give, not just take. Contests should be a reward, not a gift. What's the point of giving money to surfers or hobby hour slip-sloppers?

I also am harshly against boards that pay per post since they are the ones that seem to motivate all of those surfers to post. I don't even like to discuss the ones that reward you for authoring the longest thread or a thread that gets the most member involvement. Those are always chock full of fat, but no meat.

This is a great board and a wonderful community. I certainly don't come here everyday in hopes of winning a contest one day.
