i signed up for a mega porn links submitter account a few weeks ago, put all the info in, including 3 of my nice looking free sites, and got no response. I did this again a few days ago with still no response...

MPL has always listed my sites before this, and im curious why im not being approved for a submitter account? I do believe murray is the owner? if your around can ya let me know whats up? has anyone else been waiting a long time to get an submitter account?

Patience. Something I have very little of, but that is what is required. The very moment you have given up on ever receiving your user/pass, Murray will email them to you. I applied for mine a few weeks ago and just got the info a couple of days ago.

I talked to him on ICQ, got a "Forgot Password" form from him, but it doesn't send me anything. It may be time to give up.

I'm no guru or anything, but I would reccomend that your exit link (better yet, take it out completely) be non-porn because that's what the majority of LL request these days.
Also, I would reccomend that you make your thumbs a little bit bigger. I understand your method to madness here byt trust me - make the thumbs BIGGER and take out the exclamation mark.
Lastly, your pics (I could be wrong here) look like sponsor content.

Content is bought and paid for, why would you think it wasn't? As for size, can a few more chime iin on this? I do 100 pix, what do most LL's like?

I don't think anyone said anything about your content being legal or not.

Your thumbs are tiny and your big pics are 500px on the long side. That's the bare minimum. Each gallery contains only 10 pics each. Again, the bare minimum. The title is ok since they chicks are posing with keyboards and what-not.

I certainly won't pretend to speak for Murray, but if you want a partner account anywhere you should probably go beyond the minimum. Give him something that his surfers are going to enjoy.

You seem to have given up waiting for a partner account and wish to replace Megaporn completely. You don't need to ask us for suggestions. Look at someone else's sites and see who they are submitting to.

Fuck the exit link to google or whatever...most LL's only allow you 3 exit links per page...why waste it? Understand?

If you're really hung up on it, goto prankplace.com and get an account but trust me when I say this, it ain't worth it really. Ask my buddy Useless Warrior, he'd agree with me on this.

As for the thumbs go with about 135-145 on the longside. The idea is to entice the surfer to send them to the link or banner ad. 500 on the long side for the pics is std stuff.

I hope this helps. Just a word of caution though. Take that exclamation mark out of the title. Trust me on this one too.

I did not think an exit link would count as a link out, especially if just to Google or something. Am I wrong in my thinking that an exit link looks good to those that may criticize adult sites by offering an "easy way off"? Also, doesn't GG operate some sort of exit link thing? I'll have to look it up.

Why remove the exclamation point? I do not doubt you, just like to hear the reasoning. I would have thought it no big deal there or not, but I often learn that I know less than I think

Last, on thumb size, I wouldn't think that a smaller image would cause more banner hits. But it is something I will try for sure.

I am a firm believer we all lose $$$ to too much free content, thats why I have only 20 pics. I do buy all new content per site, so I do try to keep it fresh, not sponsor content. But as far as thumb size and such, Iit looks like I will be enlarging that as suggested. I still would like to hear more opinions on it, I like to know all the "whys" and such, I feel it makes me a better webmaster. I don't mean to sound arguementative.

I almost have given up on MPL. I enjoy people that talk here, give help, answer questions, etc. For instance, Mark's Links wasn't listing my sites, when I emailed him, he told me he is just behind. He is real nice and seems to be a great guy in our email exchange. So I will wait, I can understand being hit with alot of stuff to do. But even on ICQ I have been unable to get the MPL account squared away with Murray. I guess I just like the feeling of people that are reachable "real" people. I like the friendly feel.

It's all good. I know what you mean about the people here and making contact with them. You see some big names on this board, especially on the link list end, and it is absolutely awesome that these people take their time to teach and chat with folks like us. The very best thing you can do is to come here and establish your name and build a reputation. All of the big site owners I've come across here are friendly and helpful and each has a unique spin that can help you on your path to 'porn enlightenment'.

Lady, Brian XXX,

LL owners are very busy people. If they are not building and submitting, they are updating and reviewing and if they are not updating and reviewing, they are monitoring their message boards and if they are not monitoring their message boards they are prepping for a radio show and if they are not prepping for a radio show they are busy operating an affiliate program and so on and so on...

The points I am trying to make are these:

1. Keep sending emails. Be assetive without being annoying.
2. Don't wait around. These men & women are very very busy people and they are human after all, which means they have lives. Its not a bad thing. Put yourself in their shoes.

3. Visit the boards everyday. See what threads garner the most attention. Learn the trends and ask ?'s, see what ?'s are being asked, etc.

I hope my advice helps. There are plenty of guys and gals in here that love to help. 99.8% of the "gang" are cool. There is .1% that are "Oak Trees" so to speak and watch to see who will be around after 6 months 12 months and so on. Then there is .1% that don't care to help and just live out miserable lives and act like everyone owes them something. You will learn who they are.

Lastly, if you follow and respect their rules, you won't have ANY problems and that's what it comes down to. Respect. Show the respect and you will be repaid with respect.

This board is a great place, and the people wonderful. I do better with advice from these "Big LL" guys and gals than when I was a "know-it-all" non-adult webmaster many years ago. As you can see, I learned something in this thread with the too small thumbs stuff. After time, this adds up to much better sites, listings, and sales.
