Every forum has a thread like this, and I couldn't find one here through search so please excuse me if it's a repost. But thought it would be interesting to see what everyone drives - especially adult webmasters - a new demographic for me. Cars are a hobby for me, but even if you don't know the first thing about them - post yours anyway!

I'll start:

I've always gotten bored with cars that run well and just get you places, so I go through them pretty quick. My last project was an '89 Toyota 4x4 v6 which I lifted - nationals and downey coilovers, 35's, headers, gears, fiberglass fenders and bedsides, and a bunch of other crap. Can't find any pics, but I got rid of it recently. My latest is this vette; got it for cheap$$ because it had warped heads and busted ringlands. Put a new motor in, now working on making that sucker fast. I ran a 13.1 stock on the new motor, and plan for long tube 1 5/8 hookers, 1.6 ratio roller rockers, and a slew of other little shit that should drop me to mid 12's (basically a stock C5 coupe) on stock internals. Then when I have more time I'll do a hotcam and super/mini ram intake set up - ought to be pretty snappy

Anyway it's fun to talk shit to my GF's dad who just got a 2003 M5; He thinks it's the shit because it runs a 13.3 stock; I told him my 15 year old chevy does that

This one has all the factory goodies, so it's a good starter: the j55 13 inch brakes, fx3 computer controlled speed sensitive dampening (as you go faster the actuators tighten up the shocks), z51 performance handling package (probably the stiffest riding vette ever), 3.55 rear end, ZF 6 speed manual, Dana 44 rear. Here's a few pics, never mind the pile of shit in the background, that's one of my neighbor's daughters or some shit)

A luxury Honda Accord and an older manual Toyota Corolla.

I like driving the Corolla, a nice engine for a smaller car, enough power to be a fun ride. But it's my utility car.

For me, cars are tools, and my primary requirements are that they be reliable as hell. So I like having two of the worlds toughest vehicles.

No woman in the world could match the coolness of my wife, so I have no need for a car as a status marker and breeding aid.

I'm thinking about getting a pickup truck again, probably a Toyota Tacoma.

Thumbs up on the taco, and you certainly do have two of the worlds toughest vehicles. Toyota has been so good to me. My daily is a 1992 Toyota celica GT, and all I had to do to it, ever - was regular maintanance. brakes, oil, and a clutch at 110k because the old one started to slip a bit. Gets awesome mileage, comfortable, and still looks OK for a car that's 12 years old.

As far as breeding aid and status, I found that it really doesn't make a difference. At least not with girls that I'd want anything to do with. I met my gf (we're engaged now) in community college, while driving the beater. My best dates were picked up in cars that were more then half my age... In fact when I drove my dad's vette around (mint '71 stingray in 2 tone orange), smart hard working girls automatically presumed I was an ass.

Flashy cars are for one night stands with shallow gold diggers. Of course for some men that's about all they can hope for :-/

Yeah, those little toyotas are miracles of engineering. The Corolla I had before this one I drove for 315 thousand miles, and only retired it because I couldn't maintain the body anymore. The engine still started with one touch of the key in the coldest weather.

The wife was given a ford escort by her parents- damn thing caught on fire and burned to junk. I went out and got this current toyota, and it's been a champion. I have a lot of affection for it.

I think my attitude towards show and muscle cars comes from too much exposure to them in a strange way- a good old friend of mine owns a strip club here, and the strippers and their boyfriends are always showing off their cars. The fast and furious look is popular there. You see lots of semi-lame fellows trying to use cars as bargaining chips to pick up strippers, that kind of thing.

One gets jaded...

I actually had a pinto once. That little go-cart took alot of abuse and ran forever.
