I would've thought that the header could be less than 160K? Did you reduce the nuber of colours used ? or try saving it as a GIF?

DD thanks for the suggestion, but this is the best possible way to keep the quality. As JPG at 10 qulity (out of 100) the image is 30KB and looks terrible and please pay attention to the black/white square pattern, that increases GIF files, no matter the color pallette. On the other site using GIF increases the image's quality by making it look sharper and more detailed. It's really a risky decision, but

About no advertisement on the index - the fact that sites without advertisement on index convert better that the ones with advertisement, makes we want to keep the index clean the way it is. That way I can keep the surfer interested on what's inside and maybe pay a little bit more attention on the recip table. I have also other ideas why I shouldn't put advertisement on the index, but this reply is gonna get TOO LONG
