When I'm having a server issue that I expect will be longer than a few minutes, I generally post the domains which are on that box, as well as fire off a few emails. Only one (tgp) guy was not understanding about it, evidently his server had never gone down. Oh wait, that's right, he quit the business a few weeks later.
