I'm in my hotel in Saigon now. Even the cheap places have free access these days.

Man, I had a fucking horror traveling. I got to Boston Thursday and we flew out Friday. Fucking snow storm. Had to take a different flight from boston to jfk...bit later.

We got there with 30 minutes to spare...no EXIT seats available...of course. So, from JFK->Korea was stuffed in a regular window seat. 15hrs of...pondering. Then the guy and girl next to me start drinking beer and fucking YAPPING for 4hrs straight.

Here's the best part. I had a cold that started 2 days prior to leaving the US.

Also, ever since my root canal 6 mos ago I had something like a small infection.

Some days I felt it a bit, many days I didn't feel anything...but it was till there.

7hrs into the flight it started to get really big and sensitive. OK. No biggie...it would go away eventually.

BZZZZZT.

It started to hurt like a fucker. I'm not one for seeking medical treatment. When I got the blood clot in my lung I sat it out for 2 weeks. But this thing...well, I never came close to fainting before...but did on this wonderful flight. flop sweats...loss of hearing...things started to go dark.

I took some deep breaths and recomposed myself.

Took benedryl, extra strength tylenol, an additional Klonopin and just sat there and suffered.

I didn't want to freak out the girl I'm with, but I just told her I had to get some medical treatment here. Korea airport info told me there's no doctor in the airport...but outside.

We have like NO time. I wish to kill myself.

Info girl called a pharmacy in the airport to ask if they sold antibiotics. They didn't.

I was good and fucked for and 5.5 hr flight.

Found a pharmacy that DID have antibiotics. But was just 100 bottle and they wanted $100. Asked if they could split it into 50.

No. FUCKERS.

And I wasn't sure what that antibiotic was. So, I got some strong ibuprofin. took 2 of those and 2 extra strength tylenol, 2 benedryl, and 2 tylenol cold and flu capsules.

It was better for a while. I think the pressure in the cabin makes it worse.

We land and go through immigration. Had 8 68lb bags I had to load, then off load to security..then load again to go outside. Weeeeeeee.

Met Loan's family....MANY MANY of them. They drove around to a few 24hr International Clinics...which it turns out are NOT 24hrs at all.

We have a large Mercedes tourist van thingie so the whole family is going from hospital to hospital.

Finally, saw a doc...he said I had to see a dentist.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

So, we just go to a pharmacy and Loan and her Brother go in to get antibiotcs...

They took a long while. But came back with some packs of various pills. Loan said that the pharmacist knew exactly what I had...and antibiotics wouldn't help...she got some anyways.

So, I have 3 packets of various pills, tablets, etc...

Plus, a mouthrinse that does some wonders and nearly burns a hole in your cheek...so it must be good.

Hotel I reserved - well, now it was 1AM and too late. He found me a place a few blocks a way. Just 1 room left...a $10/night deal...most basic you can get.

At least it had aircon.

Popped my pills and soem Melatonin to help with jet lag...and fell asleep pretty well at 2AM.

Woke at 6AM. 4hrs is quite good for me on the 1st day with a 12hr difference.

The infection or whatever the fuck it is in my upper gum was pretty hard and the pills seemed to shrink it...at least it wasn't the full length of my gum.

So, I'm hopeful. Still feel like I have a small rock in my upper cheek.

Just had some breakfast of dragon fruit, fried egg, bread, real strawberry jelly...coffee.

Since I haven't ate in 12hrs and was filled with meds that was refreshing. Last night I couldn't even touch my teeth together without causing some major pain.

Actually, now (8:37AM) it feels quite a bit better...so, it looks like we found the right pharmacy. :-)

I'll check out here later and go to the other hotel..which I have no idea where it is having walked here from there last night in a medicated tired stuppor (sp?).

Well, from a nasty snow storm in Boston to mid 90's.

The sounds of motorbikes and beeping fill the area outside...

Looks as if it may rain...so not as hot. May go wonder and take some snapshots...

I know you all wanted to know what I was up to. Now ya know.
