The other thing to watch out for is the blocking of domain unlocking. Their idea is to prevent a registrar transfer. Some registrars seem to put a 60 day transfer inhibit if you change the details ie. you move to a new host.

It is a good idea. I bought several domains from a guy that were at Directnic. I changed all the ownership details and tried to move them to a new registra to take advantage of pricing.
It wasnt a problem, but I would rather have done it all in one step instead of two. But the security of it is worth the trouble. |
