Jim loves meat. He told me two things that I have never forgotten.

Its not a meal unless there's meat.

Nobody's put a piece of meat in front of me that I couldn't eat.

Somewhat funny story:
I remember him saying he wasn't feeling well when we were in NYC, and the cab ride from the hotel to the restaurant he kept saying he wasn't feeling very good. At the restaurant when they presented the menu and he reminded us that he was feeling a little sick. I think there was some good natured ribbing regarding his meat statement, and he ended up ordering the 36oz Porterhouse. We downed a bottle of wine, he ate Asparagus or Brocolli(?) & a potato, both made for two, and then had room for desert.

Jim's own version of 'Shock and Awe' haha

I can't believe you remember that Chris And it was Asparagus. That was a damn fine piece of meat. Nothing like a Morton's Steak.

Aw, Dad, you've done a lot of great things, but you're a very old man, and old people are useless

Doesn't it take several hours to cook a pot of chili? I'm not a cook. I'm lucky I can make toast. LOL!

I used to love garden burgers but I started following this diet plan that Suzanne Somers was pushing and it really helped. But garden burgers are not on it. You are not supposed to eat carbs and fats together and unfortunately, gardenburgers do just that. It's actually better to just eat a hamburger without the bun. Then you eat lots of veggies with every meal and complex carbs such as shredded wheat and oatmeal by itself. And no sugar. It's pretty easy, a lot more healthy than I used to eat. And I can still have mayo, which is my favorite thing in the world next to chocolate, which I'm not supposed to have, but still do occasionally.

There is a very old diet that I stick to, the seafood diet: I see food, I eat it.

(Sorry I said it was old.)
