First free site, any word of advice?

I talked to the our tech guys and they told me that they are unable to change the support email in the whois becasue they get a lot of important info sent to them there.

Huh? Why would changing the email make any difference? The "important info" will still be "important info" whether it gets sent there or to a different address. If they don't want to bother checking another address, just send it to a domain relevant address that is set up to auto-forward to that one.
