Trading links with same type of content site?

Would it be wise? I have a couple of other cam sites that have sent me mail asking for banner and link exchanges. They are from a couple of hosts who run their own site. Something tell me that would be stupid to link with them. Why trade with someone offering the same service I am? Anyone see any benefits to doing something like this? Thanks Jugg..

Link trades with relevant sites and with good keywords in anchor text will help boost rankings.

That's why link lists etc. are trading between same niche categories and use niche specific recips. It can give much more targeted traffic from SEs.

Banner exchange is another thing tho, because then traffic is mostly the key.
Those too, will give you backlink and help build link popularity but mostly those are for traffic.

Just remember, since you are a paysite, any link trade you do would be another way for a potential customer to leave your site before they joined.

You should consider building some content enriched spider food pages. Throw up some thumbs and a little relevant text on each. Make them good enough so that others will be willing to link to them. Then, link them to your tour, but not from your tour. That way you can possibly lead a little traffic to your revenue stream without leading anyone away from it.

Well said! You could also put the cam links up in your members area as content and use them as an upsell. If you wanted to go that route.

I was thinking of doing something like that. I have another domain name that may fit into something for links. fullphotos.com. sitting on a small server 30 bucks a month. My mind has been trying to figure out the best way to use them both to generate traffic for my site. I'm still learning and guess I always will be. But man working my cam site is crazy shit and takes allot of the day from me. I sit down and its 9am take a dinner break and then oh its 3am time for bed. Wheres it all go. thanks Jugg..
