How does everyone handle the submit process.

I'm just setting up submitting my first free sites.

I'm using roboform already and gonna use firefox cause you can open many tabs and whole bookmarked directories.

Does anyone have any advice about how they go about this process to make it go smoothly and get it done as quickly as possible (without autosubmitters).

cut 'n' paste works for me! I use netscape for the tabs & open all the LLs for that index pg and away I go.

just over 100 LLs in about an hour if I have the recip tables set up. I'd just screw it up somehow any other way.

one thing to watch for is to make sure you arent caching submit pages - some LLs are known to have scripts that catch a submit page being served from your side instead of the LLs - its pretty easy to clear your cache so shouldnt be a biggie

I do it by hand with the help of whatever windows remembers in the form fields after the first few submits. Seems to save me enough time. A page of bookmars to actual submit pages can shave a few but I normally go right through the recips on my index pages as a final check they all work properly. Keeping a record of each site and it`s details is a good idea too. What sponsors were used, where it was submitted etc.

And I always copy and paste the URL from index as I`m submitting to the link lists listed on it. Had to add that.

Seems many people make it much more difficult, or more time consuming than it should be.

Robbo made a great point, one I do when submitting sites, open the page you are submitting, not only so you can copy and paste the url, so you dont type it wrong, but even more important, you get a last chance to make sure all the recips load or look right. So MANY people dont do that, and so often the recips are not right, for one reason or another.

One thing I do, have a config file for sites with catagory recips. Since more of the recip does'nt change, that can be hardcoded on the page. The other parts can be variables that you could set with like php from the config file. Just copy and past catagory url and catagory text.

Mine is simple.
firefox makes it alot easier now. I've also set up submit tables for different categories for about 50 sites.

when it comes to submitting I take my time: it's very important to me that I don't break any rules, write good descriptions and titles; avoid certain words that may be banned on some linklists, capital letters or not etc.

I prefer to spend 2 hours for submitting sites that are going to be listed then spending 1 hour for submitting sites that will never get listed

well I made a nice tool, that has all the links to the submissionpages, I've got an autoformfiller and all I've got to do is check if everything is alright and hit "submit"
