I need a real vacation
My lovely wife, Victoria, has always wanted to go to England, Amsterdam or Ireland. I need to take her to one of the 3. Which has the best weather during the summer months?

I have no idea about the weather but out of those three I would pick Amsterdam.

well if you go to ireland.. i'd recommend at least one night at Dromoland Castle . i'm sure there is a website somewhere. in london there are too many good places to stay.. i used to use basil street hotel but i'm not sure if its there anymore.

A week on Stu's couch might make for an extremely entertaining vacation.

I have been out of the country a few times but never to Amsterdam. I have been in its airport and will say it was interesting enough to make me want to spend some time there. The other two dont float my boat much.

It get's hot here but it's so fucking sticky and muggy. I've never been abroad but I'm told Spain, Greece et al. have a different sort of heat, whereby the temperature can go higher than here, but it's no so muggy. Of course, when it rains here it does chuck it down, avoid coming over during Wimbledon to be sure to miss out on some guaranteed rain lol.
On a side note, it can depend on where you go - as budd81 says it has been real hot in London, and yesterday was the warmest June day on record since 1976, when we had a huge drought... but in the North of England it was a different story altogether: http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2005280281,00.html |

No offence Apu, but when they were handing out religions you must have been out taking a whizz

Amsterdam is great, it's worth going to both NL and the UK since your going to be in the area anyway and you can fly to heathrow in about 1/2 an hour from Amsterdam
