I am back...The lawyer told me what he thought about 2257 but I won't get into real details as to who and why until I get his briefing. I will be paying for it myself. My tree money might as well do some good for the business.

The short version is...depending on who they go after, this lawyer doesn't think it will make it past the first test case. Unless they go after a content provider without the paperwork. But, I really don't think too many content providers don't have the paperwork.

He laughed when he saw javes.com and said, "good for you".

What does 'content provider' actually mean these days ? If I link a FHG with a text link am I a 'content provider' ?

I just read that someone talked to the DOJ on the phone and they said if you text link a gallery/site you are a 'secondary producer', can that be true ?

Sounds like a logical guy...logically these regs cannot stand.

Jim, thanks very much for going to the effort man...it's greatly appreciated Oh, and thanks to your trees too!

Be sure to let us know when it's time for the toy drive...that's an awesome way to accept some reciprocation
