The very best way to pull everything is to have a 404 page that explains why the pages were pulled. I've seen some nice ones today.

Just a quick statement about how much GW sucks and below it a sponsor ad. No redirection.

One should only redirect if they have no qualms with being banned. No matter the situation, it's still pretty shady because the surfers aren't getting what was promised. Surfers don't blame the unknown redirecting webmaster. They blame link lists and TGPs for not having clean listings.
