digifan, don't worry about it. Alexa is crap. It sucks more than my wife did during her freshman year at college.
I don't know what/why you're considering copying your main page. Have me confused there. I do have one minor suggestion that has nothing to do with the topic. Move that counter to the bottom of the page where it belongs. Counter sites that tell you that you get more accurate readings if you place their counter on top your page are full so shit. As the long as the surfer allows your site to load, the counter will work fine at the bottom.
