Geo-targeted banners on freesites
Is it allowed?
This is an example of a hosted geo banner from topbucks "<div style="text-align:center"> <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="width:468px; height:60px; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto;"><tr><th><a href="http://www.backseatbangers.com/?revid=23589"> <a href="http://www.backseatbangers.com/?revid=23589"><img src="http://botw.topbucks.com/geoip/geoip-backseatbangers-002_01.gif" alt="Back Seat Bangers" border="0" /><img src="http://rainbow.topbucks.com/geoip-backseatbangers-002_02.jpg" alt="Back Seat Bangers" border="0" /></a></th></tr> <tr><td style="text-align:center"><a href="http://referral.topbucks.com/?revid=23589" style="font-family:verdana; font-size:xx-small;">Webmasters Click Here</a></td></tr> </table> </div>" |

Took the hint.

Nope - you cannot have banners served by someone else. It means you don't control the content on your site.
If you did it yourself (local) you might get away with it, but that would depend on all of the banners being compliant. Greenguy, as an example, has reviewers in about 4 or 5 different countries (and different languages). Alex |
