RE: "It was a sincere question, and should be neither mocked nor ridiculed." And I gave a sincere answer. I do try to lighten posts where I disagree with people because most people hate being told they are wrong bluntly, but there was no intention to ridicule you.

In answer to your "original question" is it is never right to steal search engine traffic, but no one is actually stealing traffic in the examples you and kalle7 give, which I think I said long time ago and got called an abusive crook by surfin for doing so.

P.S. Sorry I appear to be answering posts several posts late, but you all type faster than me and your posts appear after I have hit submit.
