Well hello board,

It's been a long time since I've posted. I even forgot I registered here.

I've been lurking around a bit and discovered how helpful this board is to newbie webmasters

My traffic and sales have really dropped in the last couple of years and I've been stumped.

I came across this site http://bl.usefulscripts.com/blocked/search.phtml on this board and found out my domains are blacklisted because Im on a "free host"

I'm with revsharehosting which I assumed was not really a free host.

My question is, can you guys please suggest some good pay hosts I can use?

I'm averaging only about 35k to 50k uniques a day submitting galleries.

What kind of costs am I looking at for this type of traffic?

Please give me an idea how much I would be paying if I was getting 100k a day on a payhost?

But I don't know what hosting plan to use because I don't know how much gig transfer I need.

For example, If I generate about 80k iniques a day posting galleries to TGP's, how much bandwidth will I be burning, so which plan would fit that kind of traffic?

depends on how big your images are, how many images you have etc. etc.
you can start off on a basic plan, keep an eye on BW usage and upgrade as needed.

It really depends on where it gets listed.

I have a listing on the Hun today. It is way down on the list so it isn't getting a lot compared to when I get one near the top. At its peak it was pulling about 4 megs per second today.

Hi chilihost,

I'm still looking around. $295.00 is a little heavy for me as I'm only getting about 50k a day average.

I'm assuming I might be getting twice as many uniques when I get off of the blacklist at http://bl.usefulscripts.com/blocked/search.phtml for being on a "freehost". (revshare???)

I'll purchase another domain and with luck some of the bigger TGP's will post my galleries again.

I'm not sure if I'm ready for a dedicated server.

Do you have a smaller, yet still fast server plan with a good up time?

Sorry Luke,

I was busy last week transferring all my data to another hard drive. What a pain.

I really don't know what bandwidth or disc space I need. I can't seem to get my traffic over 50, 60k a day...averaging only about 40k.

One host offered me $50.00 a month. Sound right?

your bandwidth needs depends on your galleries and picture sizes, for instance, the same number of hits would use about double the bandwidth to a graphical gallery with images that are 90kb each VS a plain text gallery with images that are 50kb each.

If you are doing 40k hits per day and increase that by 20k for no longer being blacklisted (that is realistic) then 60k hits daily would prolly burn something like 600GB per month. To me $50/mo sounds too low, make sure you check what it includes and the cost if you go over your included bandwidth.

$10.00 a month sounds too good to be true.

I've been looking around a lot now and get quoted anywhere from $100.00 to $300.00 a month for a basic dedicated which I guess I would need.

But I'm only managing a few sales a week which wouldn't justify even that much.

Any other suggestions?
