No offence Apu, but when they were handing out religions you must have been out taking a whizz

CCBill is actually the most stupid about their arbitrary rule enforcement, such as not allowing Trixie's boyfriend to link to comedian Margaret Cho because she used the pedo-word in her blog, or in 2004 when I couldn't get processing for Veg Porn at first because I linked to someone who linked to Scarleteen, because its stated mission is to provide "sex information" to teens. They've had battles with other sites as well, like one who linked to the notorious "anti-rape condom" story in Africa (for using the r-word in any context), or freaking out if a girl posts a non-sexualized photo of her with her cat.

Oh, and they don't accept red content, not by a long shot.

I'd love to switch all my sites to a nice stable merchant account with one of the big billers, but no one will talk to me.

Then you dont want to hear about my past history with Jettis/Epoch.

While we are in Vegas at least let me make the introduction to Corvett @ CCbill. I dont know if it will help but I have found thier customer support to be excellent and as many people have said in other threads... CCBill has never been late on one payment.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with CCBill as a processor, which is why I've been with them for the 2 years since PSW took my money and ran. I just don't like their anti-red policy, and I think they are painfully obtuse when it comes to using their bots to determine whether or not something is onjectionable or not. Context is everything. You could have a link that says "Don't email me for a link trade if you're a filthy fucking pedophile, I'll turn you over to the police", and they'll say you have pedo content on your site and they're going to pull your billing.

It took both Trixie and I a number of emails to clarify the contexts of what we link to with CCBill, but they did come around. Now, if only they would decide that twat goo is no less freaky than cock goo.

I'm sure that CCbill would love to be able to have a knowledgable human personally review every web site, but that just isn't practical. It would involve a substantial labor cost, which would get passed along as higher processing fees for everyone. You may be willing to pay those higher fees for such service, but I doubt many others agree.

I totally agree with you; the problem that arises is when they send out an email saying you've linked to a forbidden site (totally understandable for things to be automated up to this point), and you email them back explaining the context, and the rep responding can't figure out that the site shouldn't be blacklisted or is afraid to make that kind of a judgement call or even to ask a supervisor's opinion before hammering out responses on how they absolutely positively refuse to look at context and context doesn't matter one whit. It shouldn't be THAT hard to figure out that Scarleteen or Margaret Cho's blog (as two examples) are not porn sites, not peddling obscene content, etc.
