I just got spammed by a member of this board

Am I the only one that does not get offended by "spam" on boards. Spam meaning products, services etc. to do with adult. I have actually come accross some great stuff in board spam

It doesn't offend me at all. It does show that companies have such poor marketing and name recognition that they have to resort to such things.

You know spending a little time in doing research will find you top quality companies so then you won't have to deal with low quality companies that have to spam.

If it is on the "spam" board I agree. I often surf the spam boards when I am looking for a particular type of service. But if I come across spam on the main boards I tend to make a note of the spammer, and never use them for anything ever. My thinking is this : "If someone spams where they know that spamming is not allowed, then they are breaking the agreement they made when they 'signed up' to the board. Do I really want to trust someone who has demonstrated that they do not keep to agreements that they make ?"

That is exactly the way it is. When people view "New Posts", like most do (I am guessing), they see the products and services threads like all the rest. There is no reason to Spam anyplace else on this board. Except, when replying to something in the "I'm Looking For" forum. So, we have 2 forums deticated to selling your products and/or services.
