People that believe in Creationism believe that the Sun revolves around the Earth, the Earth is no more than 6000 years old and as I said, throw the facts out the window.

As for theroies...everything is a theory. The theory that Darwin came up with is based on facts, not blind faith. As I have always said, there are over 5000 religions in the world. What makes Christianity the one that is right and the other 4999 wrong?

I myself believe in the Big Bang Theory. Which brings me to people that believe in Aliens far advanced than us. If we are to believe in the Big Bang Theory, why would an alien life form evolve faster than people on Earth? I do believe that there are life forms on planets outside of our Galaxy but I think they are about as evolved as we are. Damn, did I just go off on a tangent?

Jim, if the evolution of intelligence is related to the age of the planet, which is related to the age of the star, we here on this planet happen to be circling a comparitively younger star.

There are star systems, and presumably planets, billions of years older than ours.

All you would need is a planet a few thousand years ahead of us to produce advanced aliens, compared to us.

No, I'm not personally big into aliens, but I do know there are young stars and older stars, and the sun is a little bit younger rather than older.

Some religions spread through gentle teaching. Some spread through converting or killing off those that can't be converted.

Bill is right. The universe is about 13 billion old and to have 2 things develop at the same speed over the course of 13 billion years is highly unlikely. Where would we be today if we developed at the time that Dinosaurs developed?

The Big Bang theory is based on an idea that an explosion happened in the center of the universe and exploded outward, and according to all the brains, the universe is still expanding, so going by that, the outside edges is older then the inside closer to the center, so if that is the case, lets assume we are in the middle of it all and anything closer to the center then us is less developed, and anything farther from the center is more developed.

OW.... that hurt my brain.....
