sounds interesting...
do you remember HOW or WHERE you found out about this ?? is there a way to save the broadcast ?? any special software needed to participate ?? do you recognize any of the speakers names there - from ADULT ?? do you know if they will be somehow archiving the event for others to view (free) later ?? ~Bell

attendance for April 2006 is free
past events weren't though... so it would definitely be the time - now - to take advantage of at least virtual attendance to see what's what... etc... ~Bell

I'm particularly interested in one of the seminars that promises to discuss surfer behaivor research and just what's coming up in general. There seems to be a lot of leading edge stuff. The whole concept was intriguing. As far as saving it, I've used some "streaming video capture" software in the past but couldn't recommend anything. I had just tried a few things that came from google for a particular project and wasn't particularly happy with the performance. I was wondering about the archive aspect myself. I'm thinking maybe not since I couldn't find any links to the past years events and they probably want to group attendance around those dates and a promise of an archive would dilute that aspect. Has anybody read the book "Snow Crash" by Neal Stephanson? This is the kind of thing his plot was based around. Good book, recommend it to all you Techno Punks who don't know. |
