Start posting and asking a few questions now and then. Allow people to understand who you are. No need to make 100s of posts a week as you'll probably come across badly if you start that way.

Think about this for a minute.

Most people that have top sites have worked for years on them. They've built good relationships with others. They've also been burned many times but people they didn't know well and sometimes by people they did.

100's maybe even 1,000s of new people try to enter this business every day. Some want to run an honest business but most are just trying to scam a few bucks. Since there isn't much face to face with people it's difficult to trust and easy to rip off.

People are going to be very guarded. We've all had others trying to rip us off.

But spending enough time on boards helping others, making reasonable comments and asking good questions gets even a COCKSUCKER some respect

Thanks for your imput everyone. I have been reading about this business for years (I knew a guy who did pretty well as a webmaster). I am ready to keep learning and progressively establishing my site/sites. I am not in this to rip people off, cheat, make a quick buck, etc. I put a lot of time into my site concept and visuals on my own and just want to become part of the webmaster network. I just want to get the Eye Candy3x name out there (another site is in the works), and make a few dollars at the same time.
