When we put the original forums in, we just did it kind of guessing what should be near the top. If we opened today, this forum would have never been put near the bottom.

But if we were to do it by the number of posts, we should look at the numbers starting when the latest forum was created. (I just looked and that would be a pain in the ass) There isn't much of a chance for a forum created less than a year ago to pass a forum created 3 years ago (minus the crash)

Ideally I would like to see "Doing Business" type forums all near the top, except "Chit Chat", that should be right were it is. Then, the learning forums (ie...Programing), spam forums and then the cheater forum. That would be ignoring the numbers but I think either we guessed really well or, maybe the numbers are the way they are because of the spot in the list we put them.

I have to agree. And yes, Chit Chat is located very well because it is immediately noticeable to new members and shows that "would you hit this" type posts don't belong on the General Business forum. My primary annoyance with other webmaster boards is the intertwining of chit chat posts and business posts making it difficult to find the posts one really should be reading. (As I recall, it was the the breakdown of all the separate forums that made me like this board.)

Agreed, I enjoy a little segregation for business purposes.

While it is facinating to know that the majority of posters would "hit it" I don't don't believe it should be, as you said "intertwining". Unless of course they have a colorful pie chart showing how certain countries would "hit it" more so than others, in which case it would be business related.

Rather than making a new post as i read down the rest.. i do the "new" thing too.. just makes it easier for my goodhead. and then i look at the 'forum' its in.
