There's Xanax in my thurible!

Personally, I don't look at thumb-size. If the image looked distorted because the webmaster was forcing the full-size pic to dynamically resize in the browser, then I'd have issues with.
I've made some fairly beefy sized thumbs and have never heard of a problem with them, so my suggestion would be to not really worry about it but to pay more attention to the size of your full-size pics. The word "little"? My guess would be the context with most places. Submit "this guy has a little cock" and no one's going to care. Use it to insinuate a young age and their would be issues. |

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

I agree on the don't overly compress your thumbs, or just load your big pic thumb-sized.
I like the looks of bigger thumbs, so tend to use them. I've only had one link list owner ask me to to keep my thumbs under 10k, and I just stopped sumbitting to that list, because I like to use bigger thumbs. None of the bigger link lists, or anyone that posts on here that I submit to, has ever denied a site I submitted for thumbs that were too big KB wize.

Arghhhh...submit yer sites ya ruddy swabs!

Agreed, big'ish quality thumbs look purty
![]() Something to consider though...depending on how many thumbs you have on a gallery, the page weight can add up quickly. Say you're running 20 pic free sites, so 10 thumbs per gallery... 10 thumbs at 10kb = 100kb page weight And that's before you add in a paysite banner or any weight for your actual html code, so that page realistically is going to be in the 130kb range. That's getting a bit chubby, as I prefer to keep pages under 100kb total. If you're running 30 pic free sites, well you get the idea...those numbers add up fast. It's a balancing act to some degree...finding the best quality at the right size, while keeping an eye on overall page weight. Piece of cake ![]() |
