VEROTEL Policy change???
My website http://www.terrorgasm.com got suspended by ticketsclub (which i have used since 2003)
I was finishing up a new site http://www.bootfetishmodels.com and when Risk Management looked at they couldnt see my members link so they looked at http://www.terrorgasm.com and said i was in violation of some policy (no date on it ) they never said what i should do they just appoved the boot site and suspended my main site- Now besides the whole billing issue (my next topic) i wonder when this policy was in play ? My content is nothing compared to many listed on ther e Treasure Club. This pissssssssssssses me off they wont get back to me and i am wanting to switch to some alternate methods. Who has heard of this or been affected? |

Hiya Raven.
I saw your other thread too and I wish I had some better suggestions for you. We've had to modify our site and content many times over the years to conform to billing companys' requirements. We use CCBill and Verotel. I don't know of any good way around paying the Visa fee (and renewals). My best suggestion would be to try to develop as close a relationship as you can with some of the people who do compliance checking for the billing companies you use. Find out what you can and can't get away with showing and then stay inside the guidelines. I expect things to get a lot tighter regarding all kinds of extreme content in the future, and combining certain elements can give you problems. Blood, weapons, and anything that "seems" non-consensual can be trouble. Good luck on getting things straightened out with Verotel. I don't have a good contact there anymore, since we do most of our business through CCBill now. I haven't seen him posting much lately, but Darryl McDade from Verotel is a member of this board. His username here is DMc and his listed email is MrD@verotel.com Hope that helps. Simon

I had a conversation with one of the guys over at Verza a few weeks ago, and he did mention offhand about having to check more for content. I'd contact them personally if at all possible.
Am considering using Ticketsclub, but didn't like the logo too much. Will probably see about CCbill instead... their logo just looks better and more, maybe, solid. (I mean Ticketsclub or CCBill plus payment options? My wife says go with the latter.) Last edited by Saturnin; 2006-07-26 at 05:43 PM.. |

Sorry to hear about your troubles Raven. While it's not likely to be a popular opinion, I personally like the fact that billing companies are not only doing everything they can to stay in good favour with Visa, but they are now enforcing quality standards of the sites they process for.
As a Canadian, your options are indeed limited. You might consider an avs. I personally like the ones that pay you $20 for free signups. |
