WHO IS FONZY!?! Don't they teach you anything at school?

Haven't given up.
Thanks for your comments Preacher, no offense was taken and i do hope the cornflakes are ok now!
Not sure if you have checked back on my site but i have been continuing to build it and plan on branching out to the other niches shortly (there is obviously still some tidying up to be done on what i have so far). Hits are up to 400 a day, still low i know. When you say "fake", what exactly do you mean? I noticed on you site you have put together many links, and by the looks of it a lot of work went into it. My vision is to do a similar thing, but using pictures (more stimulating) as well as link lists. question if i may ask - where does most of your traffic come from and what kind of traffic numbers do you get? I am just interested in ball park figure to give me an idea of what i need to be seeing on my site. I would also like to hear responses from other webmasters to see if there are differing opinions. thanks all. |

I can pick on it because it is my own. Why a fake tgp, because it's easy for me to set up on ther root of a domain and just sit there until I have the time to make it into something worthwhile. When I do upgrade it, the root will already be indexed by the search engines and I will already have an existing traffic flow to the new property I place on it. A fake TGP just means that it is a thumbnail gallery but only filled with sponsor galleries. A real tgp would take submissions. As for a thumbnail linklist, well I've heard that idea a couple of times. I have some personal issues with the idea so I don't think I would ever run one, but I don't want to step on other peoples toes. Quote:
As for numbers, you'll find most webmasters aren't really open about their traffic numbers, it's just part of the game we play. Stick around, gain some reputation as a trustable partner/submitter/webmaster and you'll find people will open up about things like traffic numbers and income a little more. If you really want to do this, then great. It has to be something you love and will stick with. Honestly, there's a ton of competition out their right now, some legitimate and some scammers. It will take some time to get a large enough network to see a good income. So if you are just in this for the money, that's why I would recommend mainstream. But if you are in this for the love of it, then by all means stick with it and give it a go. Read EVERYTHING you can. Learn how to acquire traffic, make sales, and what the different mediums are for all of those things. No one wants to just hand you the knowledge of any of those things, they'd prefer you had enough interest to do the research yourself. And there is nothing I can tell you that can't be found somewhere on this board in one thread or another. ![]() Good luck, and when you get things rock solid, no broken pages, clean links and a steady (not huge) traffic, hit me up and maybe we can trade some links. Good luck, ![]() Preacher |
