With respect backoffbitch, linklists in general make the rules to keep surfers happy. A happy surfer may eventually click on a banner and pay for something. It may be a banner belonging to the LL owner or it may be a banner in a site listed there, but either way someone is going to make a sale.

Linklists that are full of sites that jack the surfer around are not going to attract bookmarkers, they will get pissed off in the end and go somewhere else. I dont have a lot of rules on my link sites, but one of them is
"Don't try to send the surfer somewhere he doesn't want to go. If you want to fuck around with surfers, use your own traffic"

As far as I can tell, the linklists that have the most/best traffic - the ones that I submit all of my free sites too - are the ones that have the strictest rules.
