Subdomain bloq question + what script to use
Hi everybody
I have 2 small questions if someone could help me please Me and my partner are opening a paysite, and i was wondering if i should make a blog on it, on a subdomain like blog.domain.com. The site is a solo+lesbian amateur teen site, 75% of the content is shoot by us. If it is ok to put a blog there, what script should i use? As i ve read, wordpress is a free one very commonly used. Are there payed ones that offer advantages to what wordpress offers? And one more question, should i make a single blog with the solo lesbian amateur teen niches covered, or try to split to 3 4 blogs focusing on one niche? thank you |

My quick few cents...
1. Yes, it's okay, even good, to have a blog on it. 2. Yes, it's okay, even good, to put it on a subdomain of a paysite. 3. Wordpress should be all you need, plus some free plugins. I don't know anyone who uses a blog script they pay for, at least no one who isn't doing a ton of splogs (spam blogs). You don't need to do that. 4. I'm not sure if having 3 or 4 blogs will work better than having one with all four niches covered. But using Wordpress you could have those 3 or 4 separate blogs on different subdomains if you want, and then pull the 'feeds' from them into a 5th blog which is a combination of all the niches. If you're just starting a site, you may want to go with one blog at first to make things easier and just use Wordpress' categories feature to give your surfers a way to see just one niche of posts at a time. Then when you have lots of posts in each category, you can always split them into individual blogs on their own subdomains if you want. Good luck with your new site.

Putting the blog in another dir is another option:
domain.com/blog/ and/or domain.com/niche1-blog/ domain.com/niche2-blog/ domain.com/niche3-blog/ domain.com/niche4-blog/ Though, I think a subdomain is probably better anyway.
