First Free site attempt in a few years

Hi All
I'm not quite a newbie, but I haven't made a free sites in years and things have a changed a lot, so am starting over at square 1.

Here's the first attempt, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Linklist owners would you list this?

Hi there!

well, your domain is on the blacklist so that's not a good start

some of the pics in gallery one are out of order, other than that I couldn't find anything major wrong with the site itself.

On your main page add the below bolded snipppet to your code:

<td COLSPAN="2" width="50%">

The "main" page looks different in firefox than it does in internet explorer. The gallery links are off center in IE. Where you have colspan="4" should be colspan="2" and take the colspan="2" out for the td's that contain the gallery links.
You might want to validate your dtd at w3.org. You have a few issues that could make your pages look other than intended in different browsers.
The site does look pretty clean. If you get rid of the blacklist problem and put the pics in order as ponygirl mentioned you should get listed at most lists.

Fixed the thumb that was numbered incorrectly.

About this usefulscripts.com blacklist, any ideas how that happens?
I have never used the domain for free sites before, and actually don't use it for much of anything other than some tgp submitting, and I use several domains for that and this is the only one that has been blacklisted.

The reason isn't very helpful , simply says none given.
I've tried an appeal but from what I have read that doen't always help.
Is there any way to find out why and when this was added?

Since I have never submitted a free site on this domain, and none of my other domains have this problem, can I simply change domains and start my free sites there instead?

well, not knowing why it's on the BL, I guess my suggestion would be to file an appeal - the person that put you on there may be able to tell you why, I'm not sure - and use a different domain for subbing freesites until you clear that up.

Yep, agree with the other comments. Definitely appeal the blacklisting, but move to other domains in the meanwhile

Also, the length of your site title may give you problems with some lists. I think most want 3-5 word titles...definitely check the rules where you plan to submit.

Don't be afraid to add some text to your main page...tease the surfer a bit.

All in all, it's a pretty damn clean site

Most LLs nowdays allow 3 outbound links per page of free site. You might consider using that to the max.

MrYum, I know the site title is too long for most submitting. My exprience with tgps is that I need 3 or 4 titles of varying lengths, so I generally make a long title and just use parts of it as the submitted title depending on what the rules state.
As for adding tease text, I agree, but thats for as the site templates grow and develop. I figured it was best start with something basic and work my way up to adding my poor attempts at sales text

JohnnyBG I agree, best to get the most out of the traffic, but I started with a clean template to get the idea. I'll modify and develop it, adding more links to sponsor as I get better at this. I thought it would be better to have a clean, simple design and work my way from there as I learn more.

GreenGuy, I'll take that as a the response to my appeal
