Google Update
Well - backlinks(at least those allowed to be shown by Google) are updating currently which means the Sept 17th-27th update should be right on schedule if they follow their normal pattern (always update on a date ending in 7)

I'm curious on what changes this will bring to my SERPS/PR's. The last months I've had quite a downfall

Fonz - I think youll find that a lot of older LLs had downfalls a month or so ago - some going back a year or more - and I would have to say that all of them combined are having an effect on all LLs that trade traffic
No telling what will happen with an update - but if its anything like every other end of summer update it should be "interesting" |

i gotta ask this.. how do youfigure that google's normal pattern.. i have watched it for awhile and besides the daily spidering and spidering of now various google bots how are you determining this is the time span of the backlinks updates?
thanks curious as to others views on G |

Actually I was stating that there is a pattern to the "updates" - not so much the backlinks updates although those usually precede the new style "updates" or "refreshes of data" by a few days
As far as the refreshes of data - it used to be that they were ever 3 months almost to the day - then Google started wandering a little and they would be approximately every 3 months - in the last year and a half, they have gone to an approximately every month refresh(although there are also smaller daily updates) where new sites are added in and for some unknown reason the dates that they occur just happens to have been on dates ending in 7 - of course the updates/refreshes usually take a few days so I guess someone could come along and sy they always occur on days ending in 8 and still be somewhat correct |

Is Google updating now?
Anyone else seem to be taking a drop on traffic during September? Nothing much has changed my end, can anyone suggest any possible reasons why? Bit worried.

On some of my PPC campaigns I have been noticing that the number of searches on high volume keywords have droppped quite a lot. The ad positions, CTR to sponsor, and sales conversion ratios are still the same. Just the total ad views have dropped. Maybe people don't trust searches on the major portals anymore??? |
