How many LL's do you submit to?

I'm a newbie to free sites and was just gathering recips for a list of linklists over at webmaster linkup...however...its like 140 link lists and the submission process would be quite lengthy....is that just the brutal reality of it or should i skim the list down? Anyone know any other places that have a good list of places to submit to ? Thank you!

36 on a short run - 70+ on a full run... arsing around building category specific recip tables for every tom, dick and harry takes so much bloody time that the time/reward ratio prices a lot of places out of the market. An hour to build plus 2 hours doing the recips... (slight exaggeration I know - but that's how long it feels)

* Hint - wait until you're at least 10% the size of LOR before you demand cat recips...

You should really try the linklist yourself and make up your own. You will find that there are a few on there that no longer even list sites. I personaly don't list sites that use those.

It was probably to early for me but I made mine that way yesterday. I may just have a generic one to use as well.

amadman....you dont link sites that use what? If you're reffering to that place that has links to the submit pages of the various LL's...how would you ever know and why is that bad?

I pretty much know what ll's are active and which ones are not. Plus I sometimes check up on the ones I am not sure of. So when I see someone keeps submitting to me with recips to inactive sites then I stop listing them.

The list of link lists at webmasterlinkup was put there as a reference , so you as a webmaster can submit with ease to your favorite link lists. the idea however is that you eventually decide which ones you submit to.Its also recommended that you change your recip tables around often as this is also beneficial for link list owners and generates different sources of traffic , as stated in an earlier thread by greenguy and mrmarylou.

The List is checked and updated once a month if we get a 404 then its removed, the next update is at the end of january.

The list is not there to do the work for you its simply just to aid in submitting.

Any other questions regarding this please feel free to ask me.

Its a good starting point. I'm just saying to weed out the inactive ones as you go. In other words if you cant get listed on a site for whatever reason then stop putting the recips on future sites.

If anyone who has a link list or anyone for that matter could give my first free site attempt a quick look and critique I would greatly appreciate it! ....

Two things I noticed were: the warning text area doesn't scroll easily if you actually want to read it.. you can't read by clicking the arrow over and over, only by scrolling too fast to read. I have noticed a lot of these doing it lately and I think if you add another line or two it will work fine.
The other is the paragraphs of text as links, many ll's won't accept this. One or two short lines with a banner is more than enough.

Im currently working on a online "tool" that should make it much easyer to submit to the LLs that wants a recip link to the same catagory as you submit to. If the different LL ovners are OK with the idea, it should be ready in a few weeks.

Hi Base2,
You have the phrase "young teen" on both galleries - you should change that, it's cp.
