As far as niches, I'd suggest that you promote things that you personal like to start, as it's a lot easier to sell a surfer to join a site that you like as opposed to some niche you find odd or uninteresting.

It's very easy to get blacklisted in the beginning. You'd be better off to stay with manual submissions for a while. If you're thinking of doing free sites for Link Lists, you'll want to stay away from submitters completely. They're a sure way to get on blacklists in a hurry. With link lists...always do manual submissions...period. Software wise, I'm a dinosaur...hand coding all the way...and every page validated. There are some decent html coders these days, but I'm not familiar with them...perhaps others will chip in on the subject ![]() Photoshop should be fine for image optimization. Personally, I use smaller programs specific to optimization myself. And use Fireworks for image manipulation. |
