I think, that your sponsor could be a little disapointed because of that... But it is not my problem...

Nah, i think if a sponsor makes a promotion giving those kinds of payouts they are expecting you to change the codes as well as more prominence of the sites they are listed on.

they make their money back from those affiliates who have stopped promoting them but offer this promotion brings them back.

It's a friendly way to remind affiliates that the sponsor does sell.
