Major Advice Needed!

Hi everyone, I need advice on how to advertize my new software.

About a month ago, I hired a freelance software to develop me an image enhancement software program. I have a website that I am advertising it at, and have signed up at many shareware sites.

This software would be good for magazine editors, photographers, etc. But I think it would sell best for adult picture enhancement purposes. I have posted a few galleries enhanced with my software, and my image stamp at the bottom, at adult message boards, and every time I do, I get an awesome reply! I signed up at imagevenue, and upload galleries there, which makes it easy to put links (and thumbnails) in forums.

Unfortunately, so far I have only sold a few. I need traffic. Lots of traffic. Bad! I am wondering if anybody has advice on how I can achieve more sales. I thought of signing up at an adult web banner ad site. I havent yet tried tgp's, or learned much about them. An affiliate page is set up on the purchase page.

Just my opinion but... Have you thought about giving away some free copies to some of the bigger players in the adult world. Ask them to review it and recommend it if they find it useful? So far through boards like this one I have purchased 3 different programs through others recommendations. I find that even if you see an advert splattered everywhere before parting with money you still always look for someone who has used it and commented on.

Just make an offer for say five free copies and ask adult webmasters to get in touch with a few example copies, or offer a few forum, blog, site owners a few free copies to give away in competitons or free prize draws...

I don`t know if its only me, but when I look for new software/scripts I always ask on the boards or make a search on them on whats the others experience with them, support and so on..

Thank you, I will try that. Do you know of anybody here, or perhaps yourself, who would like a free copy? There is a free trial version on my site, and the full version basically lets you save your pictures. Maybe the batch processor version (pro) would be best to give away.

Is there a list somewhere of board owners or website owners where I can promote this?

I would have said yes to a copy but it would only be greed so thank you for the offer but I shall pass. You would be better off getting in touch with the board owner (Greenie) and people who (assuming they like the software) can give you better exposure.

Have a browse around this forum, look at members who have made a lot of good quality posts and see what field they are in and if they could make use of your software. Remember though it doesn't mean you will guarantee good exposure, if they think it stinks they will probably say so.... Click the search link at the top and search for topics related to your product and you might find a few members to approach (get permission first as the last thing you want is to be called a board spammer).
