How to get a sale/day

Do as the others say, keep working at what you are doing now. But also do not be afraid to explore and try new things. Iis in part a numbers game. If you want to do one sale a day on average, you probably need to figure that you have to send about 1,000 unique clicks to a sponsor per day (could be less or more depending on conversions and traffic quality). Look at what you are sending now and set this goal. It gives you a better metric to use.

Tip: Try converting what you have better now first. Are you using different banners with different girls on the freesite? Have you tried maybe throwing up one of the sponsors related sites also on the freesite? Are you putting a lot of work into your link text in order to get the surfer to want to click?

Take clicks to sponsor / Uniques to freesite = RATIO OF CLICKTHRUS

Try to get this to be at least 5%. If you can manage 10% or more, great! If you are seeing less than 5% with freesites, something is probably wrong and you should look at your banners and links.

Also you can use this to determine how much extra traffic you need to make your goals. If you see an average 5% click thru rate and you need 1,000 hits to your sponsors to make 1 sale a day, then this means you need 20,000 uniques per day. If you have a 10% Click thru rate, then you only need 10,000 uniques per day to make that goal on average. See what I am saying here?

And remember, the "law of averages" does work. I started promoting Silver Cash sites on March 5 or so and nothing until the last 10 days of the month. 6 sales, 4 of those right near the end of the month. And I was about to give up on them.

It's gratifying to see someone giving out actual numbers. So, on behalf of everyone who's ever wanted even a ballpark figure to assess themselves with, thanks.

Webcleo: If you're not getting a good click through, don't hesitate to study mainstream marketing theory. A lot of that stuff is as applicable to selling dirty pictures as it is to promoting kitten calendars.

You should at least know about 'calls to action', the general path people's eyes follow when they look at a website, and how to use contrasting elements to draw attention where you want it.

Hello all...after reading this thread my question is this... when you say build a free site and submit everyday, are you talking about building your own galleries with their own domain that's like a one page website or are you talking about a structure like this:

domain.com/freesite1
domain.com/freesite2

and when you submit, where are these freesites being submitted to? Is that what tgp submission software is for?

Are we talking about submitting free hosted gallery sites or all original galleries?

If we're talking about original galleries, are you guys building them with photoshop?

What's a hub?

Thank you...I'm not as active in xxxwebmaster stuff as I'd like to be and am now with a little more time on my hands and would like to pursue it more...

Hi Easymama, I think from your post you have got your wires crossed about free sites and galleries.
A gallery is a single page that you submit to tgp's and a free site is usually a four page site submitted to links lists.
The usual structure is index/warning, main page, gallery page 1 and gallery page 2. There are many great threads on here explaining about the structure if you want to know more.
Generally auto submission software is not favoured by links lists and it is best to do this by hand.
Free hosted sites are also not widely accepted, check out the rules at places like link-o-rama as these are a great guide.
A hub is usually a page that contains all your sites that is on the domain root but can contain pay site links etc it’s up to you.
