I always find the Nobel Prizes interesting -

After all what better way to promote peace than by creating dynamite (or TNT)

Though I personally do think that Alfred did have a conscience after he figured out that Army's would use the stuff for purposes other than mining, hence the prizes.

Ever wondered why the prizes take to long for Chemistry and Medicine? They are just getting around to the 70's research
