Hi Linkster, i highly respect you and your opinion, i have few questions since i'm not expert in everything

there are a huge amount of LLs that use the script that links out through a cgi jump - which is perfectly normal and the SEs do follow those links

do you mean by this that search engine spider can track cgi generated url and "see what's on the other side" and count that url as clean hard coded back link for free site?

and one more question

you are also detecting scripted links for people using a dual linking system where the free sites is listed with the real url and also listed as a detailed page for each free site

i visited both ladydesigner's LLs after reading your post and then went to Google and yes i see google lists "details pages" from her site... and that's nice, she's getting more pages on her site, every one of them with nice keyword rich title but that's good for her, not for submitter since i see link to listed free site is coded on details page same as it is in category page...
which brings me back to my 1st question - if SEs can count cgi urls as hard backlinks then it's all ok, i will remove LLs from list thata re using this way of linking asap

Yes they can and sometimes they even list the actual jump link in the serps. I have a real good listing like that right now.

you're mixing 2 things:

1. web page like www.domain.com/index.cgi?id=11111
- can be indexed by SEs and it can get rank in SERPs like every other page

2. masking listed free site's url from www.domain.com/fs/title/index.html to www.domain.com/index.cgi?id=11111 will never give SEO benefit to that free site...
placing that link (www.domain.com/index.cgi?id=11111) at details.html, at domain root or inside sitemap.xml page won't also give free site valid backlink... it's not problem with where the link is placed on site but in it's structure
