Updated LOR Rule For Movie Sites

Movie Sites: 120 seconds of movies with at least 10 seconds/movie (movies may not have more than 1 second of ads in the beginning or at the end of the movie)

It's always been popular to throw ads at the beginning or end of the movies & until today, I had no real problem with a couple of seconds of ads. But with everything that starts out OK on Free Sites & Galleries, people take advantage of it.

6 seconds of ads followed by 20 seconds of porn followed by 6 seconds of ads is pushing it.

I'm betting that this type of advertising is just fucking great on tube sites

but I don't see the need for it on Free Sites.

May also be worth adding that you only accept Low Res movies that load quickly just a thought !

I review a lot of movie sites between LOR & Porn Movie Links. It's really easy to tell when there's a router or server issue when reviewing, because the movies on every site before loaded fine & the movies on every site after also loaded fine. This is when we go back & check the site one last time before sending out the "connection issue" rejection.

Would you like me to add that to my rules as well?

They're your rules we can only be guided by them to save us all wasting each others time the more defined they are the better. That site was not declined by any others that was why we questioned it in the first place or we would have moved on it's only a free site so not worth arguing about. Be easier to submit just pic sites in future.

I'm sorry that my crystal ball did not foresee that someone would spam up 33% of a movie clip with ads.

Think of it in terms of a pic site - if you sent me a site that had 600x800 pics & each pic consisted of a 100x800 ad on the top & bottom with a 400x800 pic in the middle, I'd decline it instantly.

In fact, I'd bet that 99.44% of the people that just read that statement would agree that you'd be an idiot to think that a site with pictures like that would get accepted.

Why is it different for movies?

You can't grasp the fact that 33% of that movie is ads? Or that 33% of the pictures themselves in my example are ads?

Now let's talk about the numbers that have been "approved by me". The rule is 120 seconds of movies total with a minimum of 10 seconds per movie. You tell me what is an acceptable time (in seconds or a percent) for ads per movie. I was letting 10% slide (10 sec movie could have a 1 sec ad - 30 sec movie could have a 3 sec ad)

So tell me what YOU think is an acceptable number or percent of the movie that can be ads.

What I am saying and the point that is being overlooked is since we started submitting to you and from the first one you approved we have changed nothing same movie format with ads front and back. Now from a gallery that was declined over a connection issue we have moved on to the movies not being acceptable because the add time percentage is too high you or someone there must have looked at the previous ones to approve them.

So now it is your ruling 1 sec ads which really is no time at all and gone in a flash so it would probably have been better to say none at all and your not happy with ads intro/ending and that you will only accept clips with watermark/URL in a suitable position at what length you define.

My confusion and the point I am trying to make is we have submitted for some time and been approved with no issues now we have an issue.

Times change - rules have to be added & adjusted & removed from time to time.

There was a time where I had no problem with pop-ups, but people took advantage of that & now they're banned.

Based on that, you actually lucky that I'm giving you 1 second

You know what - this rule really effects no one other than those that own the site that they are promoting.

It's obvious that Rileyuk ownes the site he's promoting because the links are not coded. And no one in their right mind would build a free site promoting a site they did not own unless there was a referral code. This part also applies to the movies - who'd use movies that were 33% (uncoded) ads unless they owned the site.

Of course we own the sites we promote can't see what point that has to do with the discussion. Anyways a rulechange has taken place fair enough that is what you want in the future won't bother with a 1sec flash frame ad so just plain old crash clip with a watermark should fit the bill.

The point is that if you own the sites, you'd have no problem spamming up the clips with text & logos & whatnot.

But most of the webmasters that submit to me do not own the sites they are promoting, so unless the surfer clicks on a coded link, they do not get paid.

...and please don't make me look up this thread if I'm forced to put a rule in about watermarks on movies

Don't have any issue with ads front and back or they wouldn't have been submitted in the first place and got approved by you guys. Had it been a known issue from day one they would never have been posted to you would they.
