Common Freesite Ratios

It's hard to say what's average. It depends on so many variables.

Ratios can vary depending on: where your FS was accepted, what niche you submit, how old/saturated your content is, how old your sponsor site is, how much image search engine traffic you've picked up, how the planets are aligned, etc.

Just today, I had two sales from one year old sites. If you asked yesterday about ratios for those sites - I'd give you different numbers.

What I can recommend you, and you need to trust me on this - don't look at your free sites stats. There are two reasons: first, since you are just starting, your numbers will be lower than experienced site builders. Second, you will loose valuable time counting clicks and ratios. It's much better for you to keep building and submitting FS, study other peoples work and experiment daily. Check your click stats once a month to see what's going on.

I see as much as 8 times the traffic for some sites at the same LL's depending on niche (and how well the site fits the niche). I tend to concentrate in the teen, amateur, hardcore, anal and lesbian areas. Some of these tend to be a bit oversaturated on some LL's but that's that primary thrust of my pay site.

I also try to match the niche as closely as possible - If a surfer clicked on "fat women rolled in flower and wrestling with midgets" he/she had a reason (I have no idea what that reason is - you'll have to ask them) and they probably don't want to see some emancipates little "lezbo" trying to force a smile during a "pretend" pussy licking session.

I get my best conversions when:
1. I use fresh relivent content.
2. I place the FS in the correct niche.
3. The models on the FS can be found on the sponsor’s tour.
4. My banners show cute faces, round asses, and pink clits.
5. The overall site has a theme – same girls on the banners/adds as in the FS content.

Thanks - They're not really templates but I do re-use the shell table that sets up my width, footer, metatags, style sheet etc... – just make slight mods to fit the content and adds that I’ll be using.

I do my gradients and graphics in either Photoshop or Fireworks, and use Dreamweaver for all my coding.

Everything else is based on simple table layouts. Once you understand tables, you can set them up pretty quick. I’ve tried css to position but I get inconsistent results across browsers. I do use css to format my text.
