Jim,
Have you installed any new hardware recently? It might not be a bad idea to check for new video card and mouse drivers. I had a problem with my dual head video card ever since I installed it. Every now and then the mouse pointer would freak out and end up on the secondary monitor. A new driver seems to have fixed it.

I think I am going to start using a corded mouse to see if that changes anything. It's more of a pain in the ass than anything else. But, is it more of a pain in the ass than dragging around a cord?

I get this on occasion -and have isolated it to the dual monitor drivers. I just turn one of the monitors vertical, let the drivers reset, then rotate it back to horizontal. Not really a “Windows” problem but it can be irritating.
