What is the reason behind this? Here in the US our government typically uses threats of terrorism to spy on us and remove privacy.

I am sorry to say it, but this all happened before in Germany, it was just the low tech version, and don't feel all alone, even with good people standing up for our rights they chip away at our freedoms everyday
