I gave up on Network Solutions years ago. Besides having outrageous prices, their customer service isn't the best either.
Can I make a shameless plug here and say that we use http://register-domains-for-less.com (a reseller for godaddy that we own). Let me tell you, they bother the hell out of you when a renewal is coming up, and the domains are safe there...I sold one last year and I thought they were going to ask for my fingerprints and a scan of my eye to prove that I owned the domain before they'd let it go. Of course, it's also very inexpensive to register domains and to renew them. I search for new domains fairly frequently and have never had one registered while I was thinking about registering it. |

Thanks ecchi, I didn't want to insult anyone's intelligence here. I know that a lot of folks had issues with godaddy at one time. I even spoke with the President a few times, back when there were rumors that it was easy to steal domains from godaddy...I don't know him, but I had close to 3000 domains registered there and that got their attention when I threatened to move. Now, it almost takes an act of congress to just move one of your own domain names when it's registered there...don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, safe is good. I also use Moniker but like godaddy a bit better.
