For the way you blog, it may add nothing for you except the ability to use your tags as meta keywords in your single post view. Although with it's auto tag feature, you could set up a list of your tags and they would be automatically added.

For those of us who like to remote post, ie. use a script like BO or a desktop program to post to their blogs, it gives us the ability to tag from afar

For those who do a lot with RSS feeds, the auto tag feature is one of the only ways available to get tags added to your posts without editing them and while I'm not a search engine guy I think any value add you do to a RSS feed will only enhance your position with them.

Jiglo is mostly for those who are using versions of WP that didn't have tags or a tagging plug in. Although, I think if you have any type of dynamic page, adding tags to it would be a cool thing.

Now that's something to think about, i never really gave the meta much thought. After looking at some of my single posts, there is not much meta data.. Though my established blogs do pretty well, but maybe they could do better?

That makes sense now. I saw people talking about tag plug-in's and kept thinking, WP already has it built in, least newer version., wondering what was I missing?

Your talking using feeds, like sponsor provied, directly into posts right? Also makes sense.

Thats what I was thinking, asked for sure. Though you brought up some other good reasons. Maybe I'll have to look into a plug-in, least for the meta angle.

thanks walrus; this may come in handy for my needs too; I've actually been looking for a way to post the "recent posts" from my blog on the homepage of my site; can't seem to find a feed generator that will use php - so that the recent posts will show up as searchable (indexable??) text... i'll see if this link of yours for tagging has anything to help!
