I don't think so. According to a buddy who spent six years for unauthorized bank withdrawals, who may or may not be gay to some degree, the guys who wank as privately as possible are absolutely straight, the guys who haven't accepted wanking as the only solution probably are gay, at least temporarily.
It might be different in the US, but in Canada inmates are allowed to get Hustler, Penthouse, etc., which must help.

On a message board for spouses of inmates, I read that prison rape is not as common as we all think/hear. Apparently there are enough men willing to get boned already that it isn't necessary to force anyone. And no, my wife is not in prison. I don't recall how I stumbled upon that board, but it was really interesting reading even though the posters there are worse butchers of the English language than most adult webmasters.
