Dream Weaver CS3

Hi I just bought Dream weaver cs3 and I was wondering if anyone else bought it and likes it. I have been using dream weaver MX and I think I made a mistake buying it. I bought it with the fact photoshop cs3 works real well with it. But I miss the layout view, where you can build tables and cells real easy. It seems a bit of a pain in the new one. Any one else have any experience with it?
Peace Mike

No thats is just it. They have a expanded option now instead. Its a pain to me. But maybe I have yet to learn how to work with the new version.

Ah - I get you, I've never used that before.

Just use the standard instead...or am I missing something?

I bought it, was kind of shocked by some of the changes but I'm used to it now. It makes CSS a bit less daunting.

As a long time GoLive user, back before Adobe bought it, ruined it, and now has killed it, I'm so not wanting to switch to DreamWeaver.

I'm still using DW 8, the last version released before Adobe acquired Macromedia. I've not yet read about any new features available in DW CS3 that make me want to "upgrade".

I am still using DW MX because that is the last version that will run perfectly under Wine in Ubuntu Linux. Sorry, I can't help you Mike.

For those of you that aren't quite ready for Dreamweaver, but want a WYSIWIG editor, you might take a look at Aptana

I was going to mention that I use Namo, but when I went to verify the URL, I saw that they're on 8.0 & my version is 5.5

I really need to get with the times.

The cool thing about Windows 95, is that if you have a Xeon processor, it will run completely within the CPU's on-die cache.

Dreamweaver CS3 is the business. Really good for CSS. In fact probably the best piece of software on Windows for that area of Web design.
The overall layout of the interface on the Mac is shiite though.
For the most part it generates pretty clean HTML and I love the Find/Replace thingy. Although you mentioned that you work with tables...you mentalist

I upgraded from DW4(!) to CS3 this summer... it takes an hour or two to build an index-file But its getting faster and faster.

Like GG said, I really need to get with the times.

Namo is awesome, especially for the price.

I am forcing myself to learn CSS and broke down and bought the Dreamweaver cs3, which so far has helped me in the process. It was a little confusing in Namo, but DW makes it easy. The biggest problem I have with it is the css sometimes does not display correctly in design mode and I have to preview in IE to see what it really looks like. Can be very confusing until you get a little experience and realize what's happening.

When I'm working on something I generally always keep safari and firefox open on the page i'm working on and reload once I've made a bunch of changes. I really only use the design mode screen to click on something to bring me to that spot in the code. Then I go about my way typing the code.
