Happy Wedding Day Emerald and BlueBrit!

Fay concerns me as it wasn't projected to make hurricane strength until just hitting Florida, now they have it hitting hurricane strength before it hits the Straits of Cuba, which means it'll be able to strengthen over the straight slightly before hitting the western coast of Florida. Puts us in the dirty side which means FPL (Flicker, Plunder and Loot) will probably be testing to make sure their grid fails at the appropriate times -- like when there is no wind or rain anywhere nearby.

Other than that, finally got the hardware end of my project done -- came together nicely after a few frustrating engineering issues cropped up when put in production. Some oddities arose -- its faster than it should be and I don't know why. SSD drives fired right up and did what they were supposed to do. I'm relatively pleased.

Cleo, did you drop your iphone or a different phone? you said you removed the battery -- I thought that was an apple only thing.

Simon, I wish you luck with the A/C -- not a great time of year to be pressured to get an A/C unit. Our neighbor's had one fail in the middle of summer and had to go with the guy that actually showed up. With the economy the way it is, maybe some of the Florida-attitude vendors near you will be a little more anxious to show up. Though, as Cleo's directv installer demonstrated, they may not care.

Time to delve into about 8000 lines of php... my nemesis.

Just one of my GE house phones, no big deal I have 3 more. It is officially dead after I broke it taking it apart trying to get the water out.

I'm rather worried about what this storm is going to do when it hits warm water. A friend tried to buy gas this morning and said that gas lines were already forming. Getting ready to go to the gym now (if the fucking phone will stop ringing with trannies wanting stuff done to their websites) so I guess I can see the lines for myself as I drive by with a full tank of gas.
