You also have 4 outbound links on your main and both gallery pages. Just something to think about.

i was under the impression 1and2 would be 1 link
3and4 would be 2 links
5 would be 3 links....

if thats a problem couldn't i just link the segments in question all together as one, was trying to make it not seem so spamy.

Just wanted to point it out. Also a lot of LL don't like more than 2 or 3 lines of text linked. Just check the rules is all. You may want to experiment with one line of text under the banners as one link rather than having the banner link, then a few lines of text with a link at the end again. If someone is going to click on one of 5 links they will click on one of 3 links as well. On the other hand if someone isn't going to click or has no intention in buying a membership you could have 100 links and it wouldnt matter.

thank you NYjester, this has been a learning day indeed on my end of things. i am still pretty new when it comes to the freesites i appreciate it. i will be trying some new designs shortly, so i am glad this ended up happening and i was able to get some good feedback, thanks again.

Its what the board is for. If you dont ask or do..you kind of never really know. With that said, all of the sites Ive seen you do look clean and really only need minimal tweaking.

I mean there was no bitching to look bad in the search engines...I've seen ton's of threads through the years saying hi cleo or high tommy, or high insert linklist owner, my site was declined and I can't figure out why.

And I do not mean the ones that actually have rejection threads here on the board.

Admitted the simple email to Cucumber would have been better then even asking on the boards, but I do not see the problem with asking and saying who you are asking...what am I missing?


Heck yrs ago I did that with Cleo, one of my mouseovers got me declined and I asked her why here...she was fine with it, showed me what I couldn't see...and actually gave me a few options as to how to fix the mousover code

I've mentioned it in several threads, but I don't think I've ever authored a thread on the subject. I've also ranted about it on OTB. I no longer like seeing my link lists' names or domains in a thread title. For that matter, I don't like seeing them being unlinked in posts. I too have old rejection threads for a couple of my links lists, but I've since learned that those threads, as well as threads on other boards, often pop up way higher than I want them too during a search for the name or domain. If you think about it, it's really basic SEO and should serve to emphasize the importance of the <title> tag. Also, we'd all be pissed if we saw some stranger's site printing our domains on their pages while not linking to us. So why is a message board any different?

I'm constantly around and I'm very easily found via ICQ, email, and PM - so no one really has any good reason to ask anything about my sites in a new thread.

Speaking of rejection threads, I used to think that they were great. If a person is honest and really wants to know the specifics of a rejection, they can come to the board and post the URL to the rejected site, receive an answer from the reviewer, and everyone else gets to learn from their published mistake. But look at LOR's rejection thread: a year later and stupid motherfuckers are still submitting blind recips to Greenie. (Not exactly rocket science.) These people don't have the ability to learn from other peoples' mistakes and probably not from their own either. It's amazing how many people will post in that thread with the same blind recip as the six posters before him/her and wonder what their blind link is. I mean, HOLY FUCK!

Factor in to this the fact that I don't need or want more submitters, and you can see why I, as not much more than a pissant and a little link list owner, can act all Napoleon and shit when it comes to such things. There's a certain high & mighty feeling to having way more submissions than one can possibly list with one's limited time and skills.
