Errr ... why keep the ads to a min? Find or make a POTD (or several) those are wonderful ads "in disguise" and add sticky content to any site.

No "former" here ... the niche will work ***IF YOU UNDERSTAND IT*** (just like any other niche). If you have a feel for what the surfer is looking for, and can pick good sponsors/sites, then you will get consistant sales in it. If not, you'll be spinning your wheels like hundreds of others who don't understand the niche.
